About, methodology & data disclaimer
What this site is
AZ Hire Check organizes public Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) records by trade and city so homeowners can check a contractor quickly. We are independent and not affiliated with ROC or any government agency.

How pages are built
- Each contractor page is one ROC license number. ROC issues one classification per license, so a business may hold several licenses.
- City pages group licenses by the business address city on the ROC record, not by service area.
- Trade pages include specific ROC classifications, listed on each trade page. Mapping a classification to a trade is our editorial grouping; ROC's classification text is shown verbatim.
- Disciplinary entries are copied verbatim (business name, license class, case number, description). "First posted" means the first ROC file in which we observed the entry.
- Listings are alphabetical. We do not rate, rank, score or characterize contractors, and listing is not an endorsement.
Data disclaimer
Records are reproduced as published by ROC on the dates shown and may have changed since. ROC states its postings "should be confirmed by checking with the Registrar of Contractors Office … prior to taking any action based on it." Absence of a disciplinary posting does not mean a contractor has no complaints or history; ROC's posted list covers a rolling recent window. Always verify on the ROC Contractor Search before hiring.
Corrections
If a record is wrong, contact ROC: its records are the source. If our page does not match the current ROC record, email [email protected] with the license number and we will refresh it from ROC's latest posting.
How we make money & affiliate disclosure
AZ Hire Check is free to use. To pay for it, trade pages include a clearly labeled "Get quotes" box. Today that box goes to our own quotes page while we onboard partners. In the future it may link to third-party quote services or installers (for example solar or home-services referral networks) that pay us a fee when you request quotes or hire through them. Those links will be labeled "Sponsored" and marked rel="sponsored".
- Partners never pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to change or remove any ROC record. Contractor listings stay alphabetical and come only from ROC data.
- We will not place partner links on contractor record pages in a way that suggests ROC or a listed contractor endorses a partner.
- A referral fee never costs you more.
